Evergreen Valley Christian School, a ministry of Evergreen Valley Church, is a developmental, Bible
based preschool geared towards helping children make their very first transition out of the home environment, and
introducing them to the school experience. We have designed a program to meet the unique needs of children and their
families!

Program Descriptions

| HAPPY TRACKERS (2 yrs 9mos - 4 yrs 9mos) |
- M-W-F from 9am - 12:30 pm.
- A hot breakfast and snack are included. (Breakfast is served at 8:30am.)
- The heart and soul of EVCS is the main preschool class, affectionately named, “HAPPY TRACKERS,” to fully embrace
the sense of gleeful wonder and adventuresome spirit that can be found in children at this age level. Our HAPPY
TRACKERS begin down a happy, healthy, and exciting path for learning. Using a carefully balanced schedule, this class
utilizes a combination of early learning approaches meant to reach your child’s individual learning style. Young minds
will love our hands on exploration and creation centers, as well as teacher-led, small and large group subject learning.
Young bodies will love our spacious, and NEW outdoor play area, as well as organized games and activities. Young
spirits will love our use of Biblical integration throughout all subjects, and our gentle and consistent guidance
through new social experiences. In addition, this class offers at least one outside field trip and special classroom
visitor per session, to further enrich your child’s learning experience! Finally, because we know these young learners
will want to include YOU in their journey, we require that one parent or family member offer two days of volunteer
support per session.**
** Parents wishing to volunteer on a more regular basis – up to one time per week, are invited to speak with the Directors.

| LITTLE EXPLORERS (18-36 mos): |
- Mondays OR Wednesdays 10am-12pm.
- “Little Explorers” is a hands-on, play based program meant to encourage and excite young learners just
entering the preschool/early learning setting. This is a “Mommy and Me” class designed for kids ages 18 mos.
to 36 months. Want your child to do painting, gardening, cooking, and get a little dirty all in one day?
Welcome to this wonderful world of exploration meant to satisfy the curiosity of early learners and still
keep their houses clean!! This program is an open, station-based, free-exploration time where children and
their parents can come and go as they please, participating in a number of activity choices including art,
science, cooking, motor development, and music. Activities are theme based and follow a line of developmental
targets.

| WORD WHIZZES (18-26 mos):

- Mondays 10am-12pm
- This class is a 2 hour, “Mommy and Me” class designed to address language acquisition and language comprehension.
- Activities include circle time activities such as flannel board stories and singing, sign-language, art, early
pattern development, block creations, and gross motor activities. Each of these activities has been shown to play
an integral role in language development. Classes will also include a play time component including free play,
pretend play, and small group activities and games meant to encourage social language and interactions.

| Terrific Twos (24-36 mos):

- Fridays 10am-12pm.
- “Terrific Twos” is a program designed with 2 yr olds in mind. This “mommy and me” class is a fun and
engaging 2-hour glimpse into the wonderful world of pre-academic skills, including a hands-on introduction
to colors, shapes, letters, and numbers. In addition, the class will address emotion identification, social
problem solving (such as sharing and turn taking), and following directions. A number of creative approaches
are used to address these areas, including active movement opportunities such as circle time, songs, and
games, 2-D and 3-D art, crafts, cooking, pretend play, role playing, and outdoor games.
In addition to our specialized toddler classes, we offer an optional morning “drop-off” for breakfast
and play from 8:30-10am, prior to class beginning. We encourage parents to take this time to run errands, go to the
gym, or simply have some quiet time!
