E.V.C. Mission Strategy

Evergreen Valley Church has a mission of “developing eternal relationships with God, His Word, and People”. The E.V.C. Mission Team supports and shares in this mission and in doing so we commit our mission strategy to be that “AS GOD LEADS US, WE WILL SUPPORT THOSE WHO ARE DEVELOPING ETERNAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH GOD, HIS WORD, AND PEOPLE, BEYOND THE WALLS OF THE CHURCH”.

1. We are called to send out and support the workers into the harvest field
   
   We know that in the scriptures, Jesus told us that the harvest was plentiful but the workers are few. God has blessed us at E.V.C. with many blessings. Therefore, we understand that we are called to pray, send, and support harvest field mission workers both locally and abroad.
2. We are called to care for the needs of people
   
   Jesus demonstrated and called us to care for the needs of hurting people; the hungry, the thirsty, the lonely, those that need clothing and shelter, the sick, and the imprisoned. Therefore, we understand that we are called to reach those in desperate need through love and good deeds.
3. We are called to go and make disciples of all nations
   
   Jesus told us to go, and make disciples of all nations… Therefore, we understand that we are called to go and reach people for the Lord. We understand all nations to will encompass our local community in San Jose but include reaching out across the world. We are called to go wherever and whenever the Lord directs us. We understand that it is God who goes with us and works in and through us.

  We support church planting all over the world including: Kenya and Cambodia.

Do you want to get involved? You can make a difference right here in our local community as well as globally in countries throughout the world? How?

• Prayer is the key to mission work effectiveness and the single most important way you can get involved.
  
• Respond with financial support to global ministries which allows EVC to continue to support mission workers throughout the world.
  
• Adopt a mission so you can get personally connected to a missionary we support and encourage and support them.
  
• Involvement in mission team projects. Throughout the year EVC is engaged in mission opportunities to serve our local community and support worldwide missions.
  
• Short Term Mission Trips: Several times each year we send teams from EVC on life changing short term trips to experience the mission field first hand.
  
• Engage yourself in God’s mission to the world by praying and beginning your own personal ministry as the Lord leads you.
